a week agoVery friendly and familjer place. Had a polish Hot Dog with superkraft and mustard your chiuse. Good taste, we got cherry wine to that and a pastery with pecan bun. Pricelevel very friendly. Personal was extra nice and welcoming!! My recommendations!

a month agoFirst time visitor today and Roger's Dogs surpassed its reputation! Loved dining outside on the sidewalk lined with small tables and umbrellas for shade. Both the service and food were excellent. Highly recommend the Roger Dog. Thank you for a very enjoyable and memorable experience. Will definitely be returning.

5 months agoIf you are in Spencer NC definitely come check this place out . Great customer service. The people who run this place are extremely nice and sweet. And I got a foot long hot dog. First bite was so so good. Definitely recommend this place. Come check it out!!!!

8 months agoNo frills hot dog and hamburger spot. Cash only and hot dogs on the menu run from $3 and up. I believe they have some items not listed on the menu like a spicy chicken sandwich. They have some desserts from what I know. Only plain Lay’s chips for a side item. They also have glass bottle Cheerwine and other sodas and beverages. If you want no nonsense hot dogs or hamburgers, this is the spot.

a year agoRoger Dogs is a great place for a dog. The bun comes toasted and you choose the condiments. Great small local business. Friendly staff and the food came fast. It is outside dining, car hop service (just pull up front) or take away. Cash only. Nothing on the menu is more than $4.50 , except for the meal deal, which is $7.25. Going back to try other items on the menu.

a year agoThis little shop has some really good dogs! The Roger dog was a great choice today. The dog was grilled and the bun was nicely toasted to my surprise. The chili and slaw were excellent on the dog! The lady working there explained that the chili and slaw are made daily in house and the taste reflected that. It is curbside service only with a few tables on the sidewalk. They take the orders and payment outside. There is no entering the building just to be clear. The folks running this place are very pleasant to interact with.

a year agoThey were closed inside so we had to take it to go, which was fine. The lady was the nicest ever. She came outside in the rain and explained the simple menu to us. My wife and I each got a footlong combo, which comes with a footlong hotdog, a small drink, a moon pie, and a small bag of lays chips. Everything came out to $13 and some change, which isn't bad all considering fast food hot dog places would of charged $20 if not more. The hot dogs tasted hot, fresh, and delicious. Cutest mom and pop shop we've been to, and after reading the other reviews, this place definitely is a gem for this town. Loved it!

3 years agoPam and Roger are a local institution! If you live in Spencer, you know they are an irreplaceable fixture in the community. They are so kind and friendly, and of course the food is excellent and perfect comfort food - I recommend their pimento cheese sandwich, chicken salad, or even a pimento cheeseburger! Add onions and peppers for perfection. Great family atmosphere, outdoor dining, great views to the train museum. A “must visit” on any to-do list while visiting Spencer!
